If you want to make money, selling designer handbags is the best place to be. I’m sure you have a female friend who had dozens of handbags and is always looking to buy. One of the most popular handbags was the Murakami pattern. There was a huge waiting list. You need to write out your business plan before you spend a dime. Finding suppliers who offer a good variety of designs and are willing to work with small minimum orders is key. Many business owners, fail to ask about minimums. They become very discouraged when they learn they must spend thousands of dollars just to place an order. Don’t let this happen to you, you want a supplier who can work with the little guy.I can remember I found a supplier that sold just what I was looking for. I was so excited since the price was right, and they had the exact handbag I wanted. However, there was a small problem. I could only contact them via email. Even worse, the handbag supplier took 2 days just to respond to my questions. I found out a few days later, that many buyers have been scammed. Here’s my point, avoid suppliers who do not list their phone number on their website.

If you ask anybody who been in the wholesale business, what’s the most frustrating part of the business? They will most likely mention - shipping. Be warned, just because a handbag supplier lists items on their website, does not necessarily mean they are in stock and ready to ship. Don’t forget to ask about delivery time.

A good handbag supplier will have a return policy. In fact, they should make you aware of their return policy before you buy. If they don’t do not be afraid to ask tough questions. For example, you want to know who is responsible if goods are damaged during shipping.

A good handbag supplier will offer references. Most will post customer testimonials on their website. You could also ask speak with a previous customer before you buy.
